How do I perform a test?
Hold your iPhone approximately 12 inches (30 cm) from the patient's face with the rear camera and torch facing the patient. Ensure the room is dimly lit for optimal results. Tap "Record" to begin the pupillary light reflex test. The app will guide you through the process.
How do credits work?
Each pupillometry test consumes one credit. New installations receive 100 free credits. Additional credits can be purchased through the App. Credits do not expire and are tied to the device on which they were purchased.
Can I transfer credits to another device?
Credits are device-bound and cannot be transferred between devices. Each device maintains its own credit balance.
How do I request a refund?
Credit purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. To request a refund, please visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support directly.
Is PupiLUX a medical device?
No. PupiLUX is a quantitative measurement and screening tool for informational purposes only. It is not cleared, approved, or registered by the FDA, EMA, CDSCO, or any other regulatory body. All clinical decisions should be made by a qualified medical professional using their independent clinical judgment.
What data does PupiLUX collect?
All pupil analysis happens entirely on your device. No images or video are ever uploaded. With your opt-in consent, anonymized numerical metrics (no patient information) may be sent to our servers to build normative reference ranges. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete my data?
On-device data can be deleted through the App at any time, or by uninstalling the App. To request deletion of any server-side data associated with your device, email us at info@pupilux.ai. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
What lighting conditions are recommended?
For best results, perform tests in a dimly lit room. Avoid direct overhead lighting or sunlight on the patient's face. The iPhone's torch provides the controlled light stimulus for the pupillary reflex test.
